Origins (2013–2018)

Carmel Prayer Fellowship traces its roots to a simple, Spirit-led time of prayer that began in 2013 at 4614 Sundown Ct, Missouri City, Texas. What began as neighbors and friends coming together to seek God in a living room soon developed into a regular, intentional time of intercession and praise.

Formation as a House Church (May 2018)

In May 2018, guided by that ongoing sense of calling and confirmed by shared discernment among the core participants, the prayer group made the transition into a house church. This change was not simply organizational; it reflected a renewed commitment to discipleship, mutual accountability, and outward mission. Together they established practices of regular worship, Bible study, prayer ministry, and outreach to family and neighborhood.

Appointment of the Founding Pastor (2019)

In 2019 the fellowship appointed its founding pastor Robin C. Roy, affirming pastoral leadership to shepherd the growing community, provide teaching and pastoral oversight, and help steward the congregation’s vision. This appointment marked an important milestone: the informal prayer fellowship had become a recognized church family with pastoral care, structure for spiritual formation, and a clearer sense of mission and identity.

Spiritual Emphasis and Mission

From its earliest days Carmel Prayer Fellowship has been shaped by a strong conviction that God’s kingdom brings freedom from spiritual bondages that can persist across generations. The church’s central mission is to see lives and families delivered from the yoke of spiritual oppression and unhealthy patterns so they can be restored and used for the work of God’s kingdom.
